A Getaway to Get Work Done
Posted By Kaitlyn Myers | Feb 27, 2015
It’s always about this time of year that I start planning a vacation. Especially with all this snow in Massachusetts…don’t even get me started. Such cold, dreary weather can take a lot out of a person.
Taking vacations can be taxing on organizations, but are crucial for the health of a workforce. People need a break. One thing many people have been doing more frequently is working while on vacation. Just being away can be enough of a break. Inc. wrote about benefits of business travel last fall, CNNMoney wrote about the trend towards “work-cationing”, and even just a few weeks ago there was a New York Times article about co-working on vacation.
The problem is, work-cations are often just vacations that feel like work. They aren’t as relaxing as you anticipated them to be, and so you can feel cheated out of your trip. What you want instead is work that feels like a vacation. Learning and growing and providing clear value for your company, but in a way that isn’t stressful and allows you to experience things you wouldn't be able to in the office. Conferences in particular are perfect for networking with peers, finding out about the best and latest in practices and innovations, and learning new skills and methods that can benefit your company.
Our 2015 Connect Conference is exactly all that. This year we’ll be in San Antonio – a perfect place to get away for a working spring break. The conference has more sessions than ever before to help you get the most out of Qvidian Sales Playbooks and Qvidian Proposal Automation, with a full day of hands-on training and customer case studies from organizations that have already seen success and want to share what they've learned.
We have an all-star lineup this year, with experts and leaders from various fields speaking and sharing their knowledge with attendees. Scott Santucci, Director at the Alexander Group, will be joining Qvidian to present a session about the role of content strategies for effective selling approaches, sharing insights and strategies for more efficient and successful communications. Award-winning author, comedian, and psychology expert Connie Podesta will be giving the keynote address, sure to enlighten while attendees are rolling with laughter. There’s even a special workshop with Dr. Tom Sant after the main conference.
There isn't a better place to provide your company with new information and opportunities while being able to clear your head of the winter that won’t end. There’s still time to register and have the post-conference workshop with Dr. Tom Sant included – you won’t want to miss this chance! Connect 2015 will be March 23-25, 2015, so register today at connect.qvidian.com.
